BBQ Skewers

Fuss-free BBQ skewers that you can easily prepare at home. Great for weekend nights where you want to rest and relax, enjoy a cold beer and have some skewers.

Ingredients

🍡Chicken & bell pepper skewer

  • Chicken thigh meat
  • Bell pepper and onions

🍡 Ready-fried egg tofu, cut into squares

🍡 Shitake Mushroom, cut into halves

🍡 Enoki mushrooms in ring ring roll

🍡 Airfry Potatoes ~ pre-boiled potato, sliced

🍡 Airfry Chinese buns (馒头), sliced and spray some water on it to prevent drying out during air-frying or grilling.

Method

  1. Chicken skewers: cut chicken thigh meat into equal cubes and marinate with soya sauce, oyster sauce, pepper, Korean chilli powder and sesame oil. Skewer with bell peppers and onions.
  2. Dip ring ring roll to soften and unroll. Add a small bunch of Enoki mushrooms and roll it up. Cut each piece into two, then arrange in a skewer.
  3. Prepare flavoured oil: salt, all-spice powder, roasted sesame seeds, parsley flakes, cooking oil. Mix well and brush on mushrooms, potato and Chinese buns before grilling.

Optional: brush skewer with BBQ sauce, oyster sauce, chilli sauce, honey etc for extra flavour.
