Braised Pork Belly

Ingredients
Pork belly x 1 kg
Quail eggs x 15 pcs
Broccoli x few (optional)
Ginger x few slices
Garlic x 5 cloves
Few stalks of spring onion white part
Spices
Green Cardamom x 10pcs
Dried Red Chiles x 10 pcs (soak till soft)
Star Anise x 3
Cloves x few
Bay leaves
x few
Pepper corn x few
5 spice powder x 1 teaspoon
Seasoning
Black soya sauce x 5 tablespoons
Light soya sauce x 2 tablespoons
Black vinegar x 2 tablespoons
Brown sugar x 2 tablespoons
Cooking wine x 2 tablespoons
Method
Heat up wok, add oil then place in Ginger fry till fragrant
Add Garlic n spring onion while part fry till fragrant
Add in all the spices fry till fragrant
Add in sugar fry till melted
Add all the seasoning stir well
Add in the meat, coat it evenly with the sauce, cover like it cook for 5 to 10 mins.
Check n turn the meat for better coating with the sauce for both sides
Add boiling water till cover all the ingredients, cover let it simmer for at lease 1 hour
Check the meat texture after an hour, the cooking time very much depending on how you want the meat texture like.
When the texture of the meat already to your liking, Add in quail eggs cook for another 10 mins
Add a few drops of sesame oil before serve. Done!
