Cheddar Cheese Chiffon Cake

Ingredients

4 slices cheddar cheese
70ml fresh milk
70gm unsalted butter
4 egg yolks
70gm cake flour
4 egg whites
70gm sugar

Method

  1. Place butter, milk and cheddar cheese into a saucepan. Place the saucepan over a pot of simmering and heat till mixture is well melted. Set aside to cool down.
  2. Sift in cake flour and mix till smooth and lump free.
  3. Add in egg yolks and mix well. Set aside.
  4. Beat egg whites till foamy. Add in sugar gradually and beat till stiff peak.
  5. Fold in egg white to cheese mixture gently.
  6. Bake at 160°c for 45min
