Claypot Tofu

A Simple Dish ~ all you need is a bowl of rice to go with it !!

Ingredients

1 egg tofu
Prawns/Roast meat/mini corn/peas/broccoli/carrot/mushrooms

1/2 tsp bean paste
1/2 cube – knor chicken cube
2 tbsp light soya sauce
1/2 tsp of sugar
1.5 cups of water
corn flour (optional)
1 big onion/4 chopped garlic/2 slice ginger

Method

  1. Pan fry the egg tofu till light brown then set aside.
  2. Heat the wok w oil (u can also use the oil from the tofu).
  3. Add ginger and onion, stir fry till fragrant then add in garlic, add in mushroom, stir fry it for 1-2 mins then add in roast pork.
  4. Continue to stir, followed by carrots and mini corns.
  5. Add in bean paste, mixed well then add 1.5 cups of water, add in the rest of the seasoning, stir and let it simmer for 5-8 mins.
  6. Add in 1/2 chicken cube, add in prawns followed by tofu and the rest of the veggies.
  7. Let it simmer Low fire for a while.
  8. Lastly u can use corn flour to thicken the sauce if u prefer thick sauce (can add a little more water is you prefer more gravy for the dish)

 

I cook using deep pan and quick stir fry 1st. Thereafter, i transfer to claypot to simmer ya.. is ok even simmer over pan coz it works the same😊 u may also adjust the taste to your liking too.
