Hokkien Mee

One Pot meal
Simple home style Hokkien Mee
serves about 4-5 pax (depends on how big is each serving)

Ingredients

  • 900g flat noodles
  • 200g lean meat
  • Veggies
  • Prawns
  • Fishcake
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 tbsp dark sauce
  • 2 tbsp light sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce

Method

  1. Marinate meat w light sauce, sesame oil, cooking wine, dashes pepper and corn flour
  2. Heat wok w oil
  3. Add garlic and fry till fragrant
  4. Add in lean meat, quick stir
  5. Add prawn, quick stir
  6. Add beancurd fishcake
  7. Add 1 tbsp oyster sauce w 2 tbsp water
  8. Scoop and set aside once all cooked
  9. With the same wok, add 4 cups water
  10. Boil it, add 1 tbsp dark sauce 2 tbsp light sauce – add the cooked ingredients
  11. Add the rinsed flat noodles
  12. Lastly will be the veggies
  13. Simmer and ready to serve when veggies cooked down
