Indo Style Kecap Manis Nasi Goreng

A simple fried rice in indo style… the secret here is Kecap manis… Not much ingredients needed yet really yummy! Can cook this anytime!

Ingredients

 


1 cup overnight cooked rice ( or u can cook rice with lesser water and cool it)
4-5 shallots (sliced)
4-5 garlic (sliced)
1 chili padi (sliced)
Chopped Spring Onions
1 egg ( optional)

seasonings:
Kecap manis
Light soya
Salt

Method

1. Heat up oil in a pan.
2. Sauté the sliced garlic and sliced shallots till fragrant and slightly brown follow by the sliced chili padi & push to one side. Crack a egg and scramble it.
3. Add in the cooked rice follow by the seasoning to taste. Stir fry for awhile till slightly dry and bit of burned kind.
4. Lastly add in chopped spring onions and do a quick fry and off fire.
5. Serve with a sunny side up and add some satay like me 😋

Optional: Can add chicken pieces in the fried rice if u like… marinate the chicken pieces with oyster sauce/light soya/ 1tsp cornflour. Add it after step 2 before adding the rice
