Kampung Fried Rice

Fried rice is the best menu for breakfast or brunch when you have a leftover rice from last night dinner. I add shredded chicken & beef balls.

Ingredients

  1. 1 bowl rice (room temperature/cold)
  2. Cabbage/long beans
  3. Big red chili or bell pepper
  4. Spring onions, chopped
  5. 2 shallots, slice thinly
  6. 2 garlic, minced
  7. Slice beef balls & shredded chicken

Sauce:

  1. 1 teaspoon Chili paste (sambal)
  2. Sweet soysauce to taste (kecap manis)
  3. A little Fish sauce
  4. Few dashes Worchestershire sauce
  5. Salt & pepper to taste
  6. 1/2 teaspoon chicken powder/seasoning
  7. (Can add sausage, fishball, or anything)
  8. Egg

Method

  1. Heat cooking oil, SauteĢ garlic & shallots until fragrant. Add in slice beef balls, shredded chicken and long beans, continue stir fry until soften.
  2. Push all ingredients to one side. Crack egg and let it set. Once the egg has set, scrambled it.
  3. Add in rice and loosen to combine. add in all sauce ingredients to taste.
  4. Increase the heat while stirring the fried rice until it combine well. Correct taste, add spring onions. Stir for awhile and off the heat.
  5. Served on a plate, garnish with fried shallots.
