Mango Pomelo 杨枝甘露

You can see this chilled Chinese dessert everywhere, and they are exceptionally enjoyable during a hot summery afternoon.

Follow this simple recipe and easily make this crowd favourite dessert at home!

Ingredients

1kg Mangoes
25g Coconut milk
100g Milk (adjust to preference)
Pomelo sacs, as much as u like! 😋

Garnish (optional)
Coconut milk
Mint leaves

Method

  1. Peel and deseed the mangoes. My batch yielded about 650g flesh.
  2. Blend 500g with: 25g coconut milk, 100g milk (adjust to preferred consistency). We prefer a thicker puree so adjust to what u like. I also omitted sugar, as they are really sweet this season. U may add some sugar if ur mangoes are sourish.
  3. Keep chilled till ready to serve.
  4. Divide into individual portions. Top with remaining mango flesh and pomelo pulp. U may also add some cooked sago pearls.
  5. Garnish with coconut milk and mint leaves. Serve chilled.
