Mee Hoon Kueh Hotpot

Ingredients

Dough

  • 500gm Hong Kong Pao Flour
  • 260gm Water
  • 1tsp Salt
  • Knead 4 minutes

Broth

  • 1 tbsp Dong Cai (Preserved Cabbage)
  • 8 pieces of Chinese Dried Mushrooms, sliced
  • Water for the hotpot
  • Your preferred meat and vegetables for the hotpot

Noodle Sauce Mixture 

  • 1 tbs SOS Campuran Sauce
  • 1 tsp 老干妈 Chili
  • 1 tsp XO Sauce

Garnish

  • Fried Ikan Bilis
  • Fried Garlic
  • Chilli, sliced

Method

  1. Divide dough into 100 – 120gm each.
  2. Rest 30 minutes.
  3. Fry Dong Cai with a small amount of oil
  4. Fry sliced mushrooms until fragrant.
  5. Add water and bring to boil.
  6. Tear the dough into bite size and cook in boiling broth.
  7. Add your preferred meat and vegetables.
  8. Serve when everything is fully cooked.
  9. For dry Mee Hoon Kueh, serve with sauce mixture.
